Mid Level Search/Contingency Search

The mid-level search division of Ober Consulting is designed for the procurement of all talent from individual contributor level roles to management level roles. We approach all of our searches with one guiding principle - “finding the best solution to our client’s needs”.

The Process

  • Step 1: Needs analysis. Upon client agreement, Ober Consulting will conduct an in-depth needs analysis through a detailed client interview. The goal of the client interview is to identify the experience, skills, and key attributes a candidate must have to be a “fit” for the position. In addition to identifying the necessary “hard skills” any potential candidate must have, we will also endeavor to understand the other more nuanced dimensions of company culture and management style to more closely understand what candidate’s will be the best match overall. Our goal is to always find the best marriage possible between the client and the candidate. The validation of this approach is our high stick-rate on positions filled.
  • Step 2: Conduct the search. As candidate’s are identified and presented to our clients, there will be an ongoing transfer of information regarding all aspects of the search to include: Detailed candidate assessments, candidate feedback on all client interactions, challenges in the marketplace (competitive insight), and more.
  • Step 3: Search completed. Upon the completion of the search assignment, Ober Consulting will provide a detailed process review (a view from the outside looking in) that has had great value in the past to our clients. Essentially, this outside in look at your companies hiring process allows you to fine tune that process to make it the best it can possibly be. We all need a competitive edge in securing the “best and the brightest” talent available to stay competitive.
